The education feld is subject to regular infuxes of new teaching styles and methods touted as highly promising innovations that are expected to foster learning for all students. “Flip” teaching, in French called “apprentissage inversée,” “classe inversée,” or “pédagogie inversée,” is the latest such discovery. This article describes fip teaching and how it works. Based on a review of the research, the impact on student learning is then discussed.
