Argument journal and the educational question: a discursive analysis essay

Résumé

A new generation of intellectuals, often recognized as the «nouvelle sensibilité», appeared in Québec over the last few years. This new group criticises unreservedly the disembodiment of the Quebec society vis-à-vis their French Canadian and humanist heritage. The aim of this article is to identify the speech projected by the new intellectual current in Quebec schools. To do this, we offer an analysis of the principal organ of the «nouvelle sensibilité», the journal of ideas Argument. Finally, to conclude this article, the authors defend the importance of maintaining an open and constructive dialogue with these thinkers of modern Quebec.
