Résumé

The nature of the relationship between theory and practice is being explored here based on a central element of the History and Citizenship Education program in Secondary Cycle 1: concepts. An analysis of interviews conducted on teachers allowed us to explore their comprehension as well as the primary strategies they use in class, and to make a parallel between these and theoretical or scientific publications.
