Roles and impacts of ICT on mathematics teaching and learning: perceptions of secondary school teachers

Résumé

The objective of the research presented in this article is to study the impact of the pedagogical use of ICT on mathematics teaching and learning in Morocco. Based on the opinions gathered during interviews with 27 mathematics teachers who use ICT in their secondary school practices, the results highlight three main categories of impacts: improving the quality of teaching, developing students’ skills in analysis, reasoning, modelling and problem solving, as well as improving academic success and finally the emotional impact of ICT on students in their learning.

Abstract
