Résumé

The disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have caused unprecedented contextual breakdowns on a global scale. In the education field, this translated into real interruptions in learning as universities, secondary schools, and elementary schools were abruptly shut down. This article investigates the impacts of the constraints that this pedagogical break imposed on teachers’ practices (study 1) and on socioemotional, motivational, and cognitive aspects of student learning (study 2) in Guadeloupe. Teachers and students had some points in common, but many different operating logics were identified.
