Résumé

This article aims to present the analysis of the online learning or remote learning experience of French as a foreign language (FFL) teachers to students of 14 Central Russian universities (Figure 1) during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 74 teachers took part in this study, all of whom answered an online questionnaire on their remote working experience during the pandemic. The study resulted in a better understanding of the impact these exceptional circumstances have had on the workload of teachers, the perceived academic and personal benefits, as well as the challenges inherent to the compulsory implementation of remote learning. In closing, we will present how this unique context changed how these teachers perceive their own profession.
