The assessment process for a family intervention project: The “School success” project

Résumé

Although the Government of Québec has implemented numerous measures to reduce school dropout and failure, few have been evaluated, and the real efects remain unknown. This article describes the approach and the evaluation results of a family intervention project for parents and children. The fndings will contribute to improve this and similar projects. The evaluative approach used reveals certain problems in assessing the real efects of such projects, as well as potential challenges for project evaluators.
